An Artificial Natural History
An Artificial Natural History is an exhibition created for galleries,
museums, institutions and venues engaged in contemporary art
and or aspects of natural history. A collection of ceramic sculptures inspired by the paleontological evidence for evolution which also draws on a wide variety of sources from biology to archaeology, tribal cultures and world aesthetic movements to religious art. The Kabul Disaster
The first Afghan War of 1838-1842 witnessed one of the greatest defeats
ever inflicted upon the British by an Asian enemy - the retreat from
Kabul. On January 6, 1842, a British force that, with its followers
numbered some 16,000, marched out of Kabul under an illusory safe
conduct; one week later, nearly all of them, men, women, and children,
lay dead along the ninety mile route, some killed by the Afghan enemy,
the rest frozen to death in the snow. Those that survived were

Janet Waring
Janet Waring first studied botany before moving to Florence to study Painting, where she lived and worked for 10 years. Her current studio is a former chapel in the rural East Midlands. Janet’s work is based on movements encountered in painting. She articulates forms that mediate between the abstract and representational built around certain themes. Ring Quest
Ringquest™ is an extraordinary exhibition from the collection of Peter Nahum of major paintings by British fantasy artist Paul Gregory. The art represents epic scenes from J R R Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and gives visitors the feeling that they are wandering through Middle Earth!. 2012, will see the US premier of the new film, The Hobbit, with the UK following shortly after.
